Hello,

I had Windows XP and Window 2000 of which I removed XP
from the D drive by formatting it. Now, i was just
checking the BIOS (HIS MOtherboard 845), and i went into
the option called VGA and when pressed enter, it gave me
options like 32, 16, 8 and disable. I selected the disable
one and since then there is no display on my computer.
Even F8 does not works, nothing happens, i restart tapping
the del key but nothing happens.

Any help on this is muchly apprecaited guys.

Thanks & Regards
David

Hi David,

It sounds to me like you disabled on board video card. What I would do is
insert new card in one of free slots in the computer and start is, so that I
could access the BIOS settings and enable the on board card again...

You could try resetting the motherboard to it's default
setting by changing jumper 8 (jp8) on your motherboard
and the changing it back.
Be warned though:
Doing this will change ALL the settings you have made to
your BIOS including the password.

Did you ever think of reading the manual that came with the motherboard?

Note: BIOS changes are not a function of WinXP, they are a function
of the motherboard - so this is not related to XP or XP Security in
any manner, but,

As others have said, either read the manual, reset the BIOS to
defaults or go to the motherboard manufacturer's web site.
Do you still get the BIOS post on the screen/monitor? If so, did
you think to go change the disabled to one of you other selections,
save and exit - the PC should repost the BIOS and try to boot.
