BIOS Settings

Hi I've recently cleared my CMOS memory and I'm down to reconfiguring the
BIOS. There are 3 settings which are confusing me, I hope somone can
enlighten me

I'm using award bios v6.00pg

Each setting is in the Advanced Chipset menu

FSB Spread Spectrum
AGP Spread Spectrum
CPU Thermal Throttling

I'm thinking that FSB ss has something to do with my video card ram? The
values avaliable are: Disabled, 0.50%, 1.00%

I assume that AGP ss is a video card setting and the two values for it are
Disabled or 0.50%

I've absolutly no idea what cpu tt is, the values for it are 12.5%-87.5% or
Disabled

thanks

By typing exactly the same into Google you will find these answers!
FSB Spread Spectrum http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=8&var1=0&var2=115
AGP Spread Spectrum http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=8&var1=0&var2=114
CPU Thermal Throttling http://www.rojakpot.com/default.aspx?location=8&var1=0&var2=7

Spread Spectrum is used to manage EMI problems. I would start by disabling spread spectrum for both the Front Side Bus (FSB) and the AGP bus. CPU throttling is used to prevent a CPU from overheating. Basically, the BIOS will throttle down the CPU speed by the specified percentage if the CPU reaches a certain temperature threshhold. If you believe you have cooling problems, correct the cooling problems and run with throttling disabled.

Those are my suggestions.
