Bigger Midi Problem

Thanks Jerry, but I have done this again and again and it
still dont do anything. I have a VIA AC'97 Audio
Controller (WDM) as my sound card.

I can only suggest 2 things :

1) Go to the motherboard web site and leave them a message. What does the
motherboard manufacturer say about your problem ? Did you contact them ?

2) Disable the AC'97 in the BIOS, re-boot, buy a cheap Soundblaster,
install it, boot up and install the drivers. If THAT doesn't work then, boy,
you have a conflict somewhere. Or borrow a friends soundcard just to try. If
that works then go for the SB card !

2nd solution is perhaps a bit radical, but seriously, I've never liked
'onboard' sound, too many problems.
