As a new xp user, i got myself in some big trouble:
Is there technical support for a problem with the service pack install?
Here's what happened.
I kept getting a prompt to do updates on my Win Xp laptop. I finally
decided to do them. The message said I could continue doing my regular work
during install. NOT! I kept getting warning messages that I needed to close
other applications. The service pack was taking too long so I used
alt-ctrl-delete to cancel it in the middle of the install. when i rebooted,
a window came up that said restoring old configuration. it was taking too
long, so i closed it not realizing that i would not be able to reboot again.
so now at start up, i get nothing but the invitation to go into F-2 utility
program. nothing else happens. how can i boot up without old config?
