Dear All,

is it somwhow possible to tell powerpoint (PP-XP SP3, W2K SP4) to set the backgroud color dependent
of the title color (or text color). So that when I use yellow font, the background is set to black,
when I use black font the background is set to white ... and this should be done all automatically ...

Thanks for any help,
andreas

Andreas,

TAJ Simmons already suggested one solution for edit mode to you. Do you need
the contrasting colors also in slide show mode
("Bildschirmpraesentationsansicht")? Then it is either possible using a
macro (though I don't know enough to write it myself) or to use color
schemes and change between them manually.

Maybe you can tell us a little bit more, why you need it? It's easier to
find a solution, then.

Kind regards,
Ute

Hi,

the idea with the color schemes is good, but only works when there is no Fill Effect as a
background. apparently it is not possible store a fill effect in a color scheme (or did I miss s.th.).

Why I need it? I have a ppt with different slide backgrounds (the background indicates if the work
is done by me or another person), one dark one bright (OK, it's a matter of philosophy if you want
to torture your audience with that;).

thanks for the help,
andreas

Torture is right! Flipping back and forth from a light background to a dark one
is enough to make an audience walk out of the room and never come back. The
whole point of a presentation is to communicate ideas and/or influence
decisions. You audience, their comfort and a receptive environment should be
your priority. Why not design your slides with a common background but with a
small graphic or logo that indicates the presenter - - something subtle?
Anything but the slide background.

The color scheme allows you to set the following colors:

Background
Text and lines
Shadows
Title text
Fills
Accent
Accent and hyperlink
Accent and followed hyperlink

Your slide background can be set to anything you want, including a gradient, a
texture, a picture, or a different color. By going to Format > Background you
can override the setting in the color scheme. So, set the slide background
color separately and set the background color in the color scheme to something
that constrasts strongly with the color you set for the text.
