Better software than oe6

Hello, All!
I am using OE6 to check my hotmail, Pop3, Imap email accounts and News
messages. I am looking for a better software than Outlook Express with more
functions. Offcourse Hotmail account should be able to check with the new
software. I am ready to pay few dollars for the software.

Pegasus Mail

Pegasus is an excellent and free email client. OP also wanted
something to check newsgroups, and Pegasus doesn't do that. Agent
(www.forteinc.com/agent) and Thunderbird (www.mozilla.com/thunderbird)
handle both email and news. I'm not sure that anything but OE or
Outlook will talk to Hotmail, now that Microsoft owns it.
 
There is an extension for Thunderbird that will allow it to use
Hotmail. I think it's called WebMail.
