DNS suffix
[[For DNS, a character string that represents a domain name. The DNS suffix
shows where a host is located relative to the DNS root, specifying a hosts
location in the DNS hierarchy. Usually, DNS suffix describes the latter
portion of a DNS name, following one or more of the first labels of a DNS
name.]]

Domain Name System (DNS)
[[A hierarchical, distributed database that contains mappings of DNS domain
names to various types of data, such as IP addresses. DNS enables the
location of computers and services by user-friendly names, and it also
enables the discovery of other information stored in the database.]]

207.46.130.108 is an example of an IP address. IP stands for Internet
Protocol and is the method or protocol by which data is sent from one
computer to another on the Internet.

A domain name refers to the name of the web page.
microsoft.com is a domain name.
207.46.130.108 is one of the IP addresses for www.microsoft.com

DNS is used to translate DNS domain names to IP addresses. So that you do
not have to type 207.46.130.108 into the Address bar in Internet Explorer.
You can type www.microsoft.com instead. www.microsoft.com is easier to
remember than 207.46.130.108 Although you can type or paste 207.46.130.108
into the Address bar in Internet Explorer. Try it and see what opens.
