Better copy function?

I there a way to copy all files except the ones that are aready there. I
have some music in a folder and sometimes I add albums to it. Then I want to
back it up by coping over to a back-up drive. When it comes to a
file/folder that is already there it asks me if I want to copy over the
exsisting file and it gives me a choice of NO, Yes, YES TO ALL, CANCEL.

If hit yes it takes for ever to add a few extra albums. If I say no. It
skips the folder and doesn't add new albums
to the folder. Example: If I have a Jimi Hendrix folder and I have a album
in there and then I want to add another album If I say YES to the above it
will write over the album that is there and then add the other album. If I
Say NO it will skip the whole folder and not add the new album. If I say
YES TO ALL it recopies all of my music. And takes way to long.

Is there a utility that fixes these obvious short commings? Or am I doing
something wrong.?

Thank you
Russ

To synchronize files stored on a removable disk using Briefcase.
1. Insert a removable disk into a disk drive on your main computer.
2. Open Briefcase, and then copy the appropriate files to Briefcase.
3. Drag Briefcase to the disk.
4. The files in Briefcase are copied to the disk.

5. Remove the disk from your main computer and insert it into a disk drive
on your portable computer.
6. Open Briefcase from the disk and work on the files. When you are ready to
synchronize the files, remove the disk from your portable computer and
reinsert it into a disk drive on your main computer.
7. Open Briefcase from the disk, and then do one of the following:
a. To update all the files, on the Briefcase menu, click Update All.
b. To update only some of the files, select the files you want to update,
and then on the Briefcase menu, click Update Selection.
