Why did naughty things pop into my brain when you said "compensate

The parts of Jamaica I was in were beautiful, romantic places and I will
most likely go back there again someday soon. :)

It was cool on Friday too--that's what drove me nuts to come home and find
the house 90 degrees or more!

I've learned to dread leaving the house with just my son in it. This
winter, I went out the door at about 10 of 8 to walk my daughter to the bus
stop at the corner. I then went on directly to a job, on the trolley, and
didn't get back 'til after 6. When my wife got home around 4 from her work,
she found the front door wide open. Apparently, it didn't quite close as my
son slammed it as he went out the door in a hurry, and sat open all day in
the middle of winter in an inner-city neighborhood.

Fortunately, fate and our fierce beagle protected us, and nobody walked in,
but the heating system has had a good workout this year.

Yes, Jamaica has a lot of nice resort areas on North Coast such as Ocho
Rios, Montego Bay and Negril just name a few. I just wish Government would
start pumping some resources into the South Coast and start exploiting the
true beauty and potential from this side of Jamaica. I hope you come back
soon!

Merlene Ottey does not live in Jamaica anymore, she got married to this guy
in some European country and moved there, she is still recognized as a
Jamaica treasure and beloved by the many athletes she has inspired to follow
into her foot steps such as Veronica Campbell (2 time Olympic Gold medalist
2004) and Sherone Simpson (Olympic Gold medalist 2004 and former class
mate). ;-)

As for Bob Marley, there is a bit of turbalence among the Jamaica people and
Bob Marleys widow, Rita Marley, she wants to move his body to Ethiopia,
birth place of Rastafarians and their God Hailie Selassie. Jamaicans disgree
with such a plan, since Jamaica is where Bob Marley was born and raised and
musically inspired by the Jamaica Culture.

Ha Ha You need more than a fierce beagle in the inner city of Philly. I'm
thinking maybe a Pit Bull. :) I'm thinking more fate and luck here. As for
the doors my daughter constantly leaves the doors unlocked when she bolts
out. Luckily I live in the burbs.

It's very apparent that some people who come here are concerned about the
expiration date - that question gets asked a dozen times a week. It is also
well known that this is a beta and that in reviewing the history of betas
from many companies, you are just not going to get more information that
what has been posted here. Several MSFT people frequent here so I imagine
that they know that some people want to be able to have the MS gant chart
for MSAS posted on the web and a daily newsletter emailed to them about the
progress of milestones on that chart. Its just not going to happen.

Our answers to these concerned folks should consist of a reminder that this
is a beta and that MS is making an effort to provide an update that will
extend the expiration date at this time.

It just seemed to me that your post was either confused or sarcastic - you
gave all the information MS is ever going to give and more than I have ever
seen posted to the public on the progress of a beta and then you say that MS
should do a better job of informing us. I couldn't figure out which mental
state should be applied.

Even if MS posted a big sign on the AntiSpyware webpage that said everything
you want them to say about the expiration date, I guarantee you that these
ngs will see no let up in the number of people asking what to do when the
beta expires. It is planet earth after all.

How was that linuxgirl? You starstruck yet? I'm using both braincells
today!

Mr Niceguy ! can you please step down from your podium ?

And users are worried about this and therefore information IS needed.
I don?t believe that a user must go to a newsgroup to find out
such important information as expiry dates, hidden in a mess of messages.

IMHO

Nothing on MSAS homepage

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
or
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/default.mspx

Nothing in FAQ, dated January 6

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/faq.mspx

On MS frontpage
www.microsoft.com

"Download the new Beta............."

No need for any meds for me but maybe for some users with
spywareproblem and no IE.............. :) and maybe for you to
come down to normal level.

JohnF. expressed precisely :
???

You forget to take your meds?

First you claim that MS needs to do a better job informing and then you
quote the information that has been provided.

What more do you want? It's not a book report, it's a complex piece of
software. I'm content to go back on expiration day and see what they
have put up to move forward. It's not like I'm using this on a
production machine anyway.

It happens that MindSmith formulated :
My MS Antispyware expires in 38 days . . . then what ?

Hi

This is what we know. MS must inform better ! IMHO.

Message from Mr Dodson, MSFT

I would say that the expiration issue will be resolved fairly soon as we
will push forward the timebomb. We are in the final test pass on the
next release and as soon as we have finished the testing, it will be
broadly announced. The next version should put a dent in reducing the
following major issues:

1) July 31 Timebomb
2) LSP breaking.
3) Flying toasts when start bar is docked on the side.

I am real excited that these items will be fixed soon so we can focus on
finalizing beta 2.
