Best Way to approach this ??? Scheduling...

Hello all,
Am using Exchange 2003 and Outlook XP....
I'm a developer (vb sql etc) but haven't used outlook to do development
before (would be confident using the object model tho) , I wote a COM
addinn once. so I was hoping some person "in the know" might be able to
point me towards the best/suitable path solution to my problem...

Basically, I want to be able to use outlook calendar/scheduling (well,
maybe??) to GROUP-schedule development tasks/time and then BE ABLE TO,
probably use vba code to create timesheets in the database from those
appointment items.... or maybe even email the SQL server "something" and
create the timesheets from there.

As you might have guessed, I'm not really a savvy outlook user but i've
heard of scheduling and I was wondering what technology would be best for me
to start investigating in order to get a solution.

I think the solution will need database acess to SQL server.

Thanks to all who took the time to read this....
