For me it has to be the Thermalight 120 Extreme cpu cooler.

That is a small thing when you consider the larger picture, which is a cooler that performs better than any of the 21 heatpipe towers recently tested at AnandTech. The eXtreme cools better than anything else we have tested. It was also nice to be reminded in this test of how small the Ultra-120 eXtreme really is compared to most other tower coolers. It is just as wide, but the eXtreme is compact in thickness, and you can actually mount the cooler on a socket 775 from above, without having to perform contortions better suited to a gymnast just to mount the cooler.

Besy cheap item I got was the Coolermaster Jet 4 cpu cooler. The picture does not do it justice, with its lights flashing when powered up this is one heck of a funnky cooler. An all for £6 inc postage. :D

Two for me:

Samsung CLP310 colour laser printer.

Asus Xonar D2X pci-e sound card.

Of the two, Asus sound card has given the most enjoyment, it's quite superb.

That cooler really does look like a jet engine :D

Really pleased with the QNAP NAS I got in July - top bit of kit, and saved me needing a whole PC as a file server :thumb:

Not bought much else this year, and I think next year will be the same :)

My WD500GB external HDD

All my family albums of photo's and video's going back years are stored on this (and yes they are backed up elsewhere too) Lots of DIVX movies and important docs are also stored there...Top piece of Kit..I partly paid for it using the £30 Amazon voucher that I won from here for my ipod Nano mini review earlier in the year..:)

hmm... where to begin, bought quite a lot this year

got a nice 19" LG TV/Monitor M198WA but i think the best buy for me was

an Asrock K10N78FullHD-hSLI R3.0 GeForce 8200 AM2+ Motherboard coupled to an Athlon X2 5200 with 2Gb of Patriot RAM. I'm using it as a media center, it boots up faster than any PC i've ever owned and plays back 1080p content using the onboard graphics :thumb:

ATI Radeon HD 3870 x2 Special Edition :D
