Beeping when Muted

When the computer is muted it will still beep when I adjust the volume in the
task bar or when I receive new mail through Outlook. Why is this? How do I
turn off the beeping? It is only those times and works fine otherwise.

There is a Hidden Device named "Beep" which contoles the internal speaker.
Go to "Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager>"
than click "View> Show hidden devices"
search for "Non-Plug and Play Drivers> Beep" right click on it and say disable
