BBC radio player window hangs

Hi,
We have a Win.XP laptop with problems accessing the BBC radio player.
When you click one of the "listen to" links here -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/
a new window is launched and the mouse pointer changes to an hourglass
and just waits. No error message reported. The same problem happens
with a share dealing website when you click a link that launches a new
window. Other sites work ok. I've tried switching off the Windows
firewall and disabling Norton Internet Security but to no avail. The
Windows pop-up blocker is also switched off. I've also done a Windows
update but no critical or IE related updates were found. Also tried
restoring the defaults in the advanced tab of IE settings.

Any ideas what might be causing this? The laptop is on a network but
other XP machines on the same network work fine with the BBC player.
Also tried this laptop on a different broadband connection via. USB
modem but got same problem. Thanks in advance for any help.

The player is Real Audio's plugin. Try uninstalling it and then when
prompted, install it again.

If you need more help I suggest a forum which specializes in Real Audio's
products.

However, the BBC site does provide this

Good luck
