I am upgrading to XP Pro from XP Home. Just after the
installation procedures were finished the computer
restarted. First it went through the normal Microsoft XP
Pro splash screen it RESARTED BY ITSELF! Again and again,
the desktop never loads, it will just restart again.

The default configuration for XP is to restart when there's an error. If
you have a serious error at startup, that leaves you in a restart loop. Try
booting to Safe Mode. Check your Event Viewer for information about
which driver or what software is causing the startup error.
