Battery

I have lost my battery managment in my power options. There is no battery
icon in my toolbar when i unplug my laptop and it gives no warnings it just
turns off completely i was wondering if there is a way to get the software
for it or what i had to do
 
The battery is still there and works for a couple of hours when it is
unpluged. I just dont have the software anymore to manage it

If the setting for putting a battery indicator icon in the
taskbar is found in the Power Options applet of Control Panel,
check for one in the utilities cdrom for the laptop. Install,
if present. (And, BTW, the behavior of the laptop seems to
indicate that there are power supply problems; most laptops
continue to run under battery when the wall power is unplugged.)
