battery Icon

I was wondering if anyone can help me out? For some reason my battery Icon
seem to disappear. I was wondering if it's because I have a APC Battery
back up that my computer is plugged up to? I hope my battery in my computer
is not going bad..

Are you talking about a laptop?

When you plug your laptop in, whether to a UPS or just to the wall
outlet, the battery icon disappears. That's normal behavior and that's
because the battery is not in use when it's plugged in.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention. It's not a laptop, it's from the desktop.
I have installed the APC backup battery software in my computer..

A desktop with a battery icon? That's very strange. Can you be very
explicit please, about what this icon is, where it appears, and what
it does.

Oh.. I see.. Thank Ken. That's explain it all. After I installed it, the
PowerChute Icon showed up and not the Power Icon...
