Battery error but not laptop

After installing Win2000 SP4, I am getting errors that
the battery is low, as if it was a laptop. It is not a
laptop. Thanks.

do you have a ups hooked up to it with either a serial or usb control cable?

No. This is just an ordinary tower PC with nothing
special. No programs or special hardware that would cause
this.

that is odd then. maybe windoze thinks you do, bring up the power options
in the control panel and make sure there is nothing in there about a ups or
low battery alarms, if there is you should turn it off. you could also stop
and disable the ups service from the administrative tools since you don't
need it.
