Batch printing from WIndows Explorer...

Not sure where to look for a resolution to this one...

Our designers use the Windows Explorer ability of selecting multiple .pdf
files they have created then right-click and select the 'Print' option -
which then is supposed to print each of the documents that was highlited.
This saves a toin of time over opening each .pdf file individually and
printing it.

It had been working fine but recently one of the designers came to me and
mentioned that sometimes this works and sometimes it does not. When it does
not, he means that it will print maybe one or two of the drawings but not
the rest. I am not even sure where to begin looking for a solution to this
problem. Has anyone else ever run into this issue?

Maybe there is a piece of software out there that someone has used that
allows you to do this - that works?

Help!

Thanks, Brad

I also did some more research and discovered the following.

When selecting these multiple pdf's and then right-clicking to select
"print", what happens is that it launches the version of Adobe that is
installed on their computers first - obviously requiring this to perform the
printing task at hand. Well just recently, this particular user installed
Adobe Pro version 6 on his PC. Before that he had Adobe Reader only -- ver 7
or 8 - and it worked fine. The are now using Adobe ver 6 Pro because they
need the ability to modify PDF drawings and that is the only version we have
of ADobe that allows that. I suspect that it must obviously be related to
that version of Adobe that is causing the screw up perhaps.

I think what I may do is to look for an alternative to Adobe 6 Pro for
modifying .pdf documents...

Any other ideas?

Brad
