.Bat in Start Up?

I’ve made a ‘StartClean.Bat’ cmd procedure which clears all
Internet Explorer history, cookies etc. Also Documents and
Settings & Windows Temp files are cleared. I understand
that there are items that can execute during power up &
restart that run from Temp. My question is: if I put the .bat
in Start Up, which is currently empty, so it is automatic rather
than manually invoked, will it wipe what processes should run
or will they already have been done by that time?
Thanks in advance for an answer. TIAFAA?

Depends on the commands you gave. If that file works itself then your answer
is "yes".

Hi,

Though the startup folder is the last thing to be invoked, it could still be
a problem as it may try to remove files that are in the process of being
run.

And also to those the system does not give you administrative privilage when
you save that to any account's start up folder which is not an administrator
account.

If you're using XP Pro, you might want to put this in your local computer
policy (computer startup script) rather than in your startup folder. You
will likely have better results.
