Bad Windows xp installation

I installed XP on my mothers computer with a disk I had previously used
and the installation went through ok. However, went it goes to load I
get a error message telling me it cannoct accurately check the license
and gives me an error code 0x80070002 and then shuts windows down The
only thing I can access is the BIOS. I would like to reformat the hard
drive and start over but I cannot access anything else. How do I erase
that message or partition that off with just the BIOS working and not
having an OS.
 
Is Windows XP from that license still installed on the other computer?
Retail Windows is licensed for only one computer.
