Bad memory...

Not exactly a Windows question, but urgently need to know
if DDR500 memory will work on a m/board that only
supports DDR400, at the slower speed obviously.
 
You have to ensure your previous RAM is compatible
with the new RAM. And that it's compatible with
your motherboard.

NEVER mix/match different RAM together. If you need DDR400, use DDR400 and
not DDR500.
