FSB?

Hi all.
I know this is not a MS issue, but I do not know where
else to go!
I am going to build a new PC and would like reasurance
about components on the FSB.

If I had a Motherboard that supports 266,333,400 Mhz FSB -
PC3200 DDR400 Memory 2 x 256Mb - and an Athlon XP 2800+
running at 333Mhz....

1.. If I run the motherborad at 400Mhz, will the 333Mhz
Athlon work ok?
2.. The motherboard supports "twinbank" or "dual memory"
so is it ok to use DDR400? Just that I heard that the
memory should be half the speed of the bus if it is to be
used in pairs on a dual memory system?

Thanks to anyone that can help - Gary

Hello

Well yes and no because each mother configuration and setup is
different and I would just do a trail and error and see what kind
of result that you get.

If your going to do it you must watch your temps and make sure you don't
start melting stuff...lol

You can do it but find an overclocking forum and get some help there because
your not going to want to do it all in one shot your going to have to up the
FSB in increments and test it to see if it's stable. but you must monitor
your cpu temps. go do some research and play around with it.

Good luck!
