Bad Direct Sound Driver Error 88780078

When trying to use my media player I get an error code.
Even if I try to use Radio@AOL I get it. It says Bad
Direct Sound Driver Error 88780078. What is this and how
do I fix it. As it is now I have no sound on my PC and I
had it yesterday until I downloaded the new media player.
If you know what the cause of this is and how to fix it
please respond to (e-mail address removed). Any help would be
much appreciated.

You've two choices. Go back to the old WMP when it was working by doing a Restore. Or
Go to the Internet and find updates for your sound card.
