I need to back up my files on a laptop. It said in a
book and I found online the same answer. It was go to
Start, then go to accessories, then go to backup. But
there was no a backup under accesories. Not only do I
need to back up my files, but I also need to burn these
files on to a cd r. I have windows XP on both the laptop
and a new desk top. Please help! P.S. not very
computer literate.

Thank-you in advance for your help.

Backing up directly to CD-R in Windows XP is pretty straightforward--
1. Using Explorer, locate the directory or files you would like to back up.
2. Select them. You can hold down the control key and click on individual
files or use the shift key to select a range of files or directories.
3. Right click on the selected files.
4. Choose Send To > CD-R Drive
5. Follow the prompts that appear from this point on.
