backup utility

I have windows xp home edition that came pre-installed on
my HP512N. All the files for restoring the computer in
case of a crash are on a patition on the hard drive, there
were no cd's included. How can I get the backup utility
installed so I can back up my registry prior to making
changes to it?

To add a little to what Carey said...
If the files are not available, it is because your OEM decided you did
not need these optional files.
In that case if a back-up application is desired, you need a 3rd party
product.
