I'm looking for a good, easy to use backup software to keep the files
on my computer's hard drive backed up and synchronized with the copies
on a removable hard drive caddy. I have used SyncBac SE before but am
not sure if this is the best choice. All I want to do is keep the
backup caddy's files up to date without a lot of superfluous copies of
files that I modified on the computer. That is. I don't want to keep
the original files and insert a new file onto the backup hard drive
each time I modify the file on the computer.
I'm running MS Windows XP SP2 and Office 2007 plus a few other client
software such as Auto CAD 97, Family Tree Maker, Adobe Photo Shop,
Pizzicato Arpege Music composition, etc. My computer is a home built
with a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L motherboard, an Intel Core 2 Duo
processor, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM. Both the computer's and the backup
caddy's hard drives are Western Digital 500 MP SATI drives. Everything
works well but I have not yet established a reliable, workable backup
process. Please offer any suggestions you may have.
Thanks, Gordon
