Being a belt and braces person, I backed up before installing SP1 service
pack.

I do not see it listed in Add/Remove programs. So, how can I zap this
backup?

TIA

Martin

Many thanks for this.

However, I only have 12 .bkf files (all in Program Files\Windows update) and
they are all tiny.

It will be a hidden folder (so make sure Folder Options - View is set to
show Hidden and system files)
Windows\$NTServicepackUninstall
Delete that folder.

But if there is no entry in Add/remove it may well have gone already - I
think some of the subsequent Windows updates will remove it.

In general you will find such folders relating to updates - Hotfix Q (or
KB) nnnnnn is Windows\$NTUninstallQnnnnnn$, and is described at
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;nnnnnn
