Backup Help Needed

I recently asked and received assistance in getting the
Backup Option added
to my Tools area and the offered assistance did add it so
it is now
available, however when I try and do the Backup and go
through the steps I
get the following: BacKup Utility "The files for the
Recovery Diskette
could not be created. The operation was aborted."

I am trying to do the Backup to a external HD connected to
a USB. The drive
will accept data from other source commands and is even
larger than the
drive within my tower.

If I am posting inthe wrong area please direct me as to
where the post should be.

Any further assistance would again be appreciated.
