Hello,
Would someone tell me please how to backup the
Windows XP registry without having to backup evey file on
this computer hard drive?

Help Please,
Zack

Click start, Run. Type in regedit, Select File option top
left, to reveal export option and select it. this will
show the familiar destination window, I send mine to MY
Doc's. This will send a copy of your Registry as it is
now to My Doc's. To reinstall it same process but select
import from regedit instead of export.

Sorry, but that's not a good choice.

If you later try to 'restore' the registry from the exported .reg file, it
will be merged into the current registry, with unpredictable results.

'Export' is useful to export a particular key that you may wish to restore
later.
