Can you use the Backup utility in Win XP pro to backup a system to several cds? If so how?

Windows XP Backup does not have the capability to span multiple CDs
(record from one to another) during a backup operation. When using
Windows XP Backup, the total size of the backup file must not exceed
the formatted capacity of the CD (approximately 533MB). If you need to
backup an entire drive or a system volume exceeding 533 MB, you need
to use a third party backup and restore program designed to span the file
over multiple CDs.

You'll can use a third-party CD Recording program, such as Nero,
in order to record and span the to multiple CDs.

No it can't. You may wish to look at third party software such as NTI Backup
Now, or Backup MyPC

Marilyn,
I believe you have hi-jacked another persons posted question. You need to
start your own question [i.e. thread] with an appropriate subject title.
XP does not natively have the capability to backup CD's [gospel being an
irrelevant identifier].
You will need third party CD burning software to create exact backup copies
of the CD's.
You can copy the contents of the CD's to the hard drive using Windows Media
Player, but this converts the files to a different format and is not a
backup of the original.
To get the most out the newsgroups it is best to setup a newsreader. See the
