Backing up System State

I read somewhere that when you backup the system state on a domain
controller, you must also select the windows\sysvol folder as well. Same for
restoring.

Is this correct?

I don't know, but I usually back up the entire C drive. I suggest you post
in microsoft.public.windows.server.general; this is an XP group.
