Background/Wallpaper Problem

When the user logs on to his account, there is no
wallpaper displayed (ie plain blue background) even
though when I go to desktop settings an image is
selected. This problem only seems to occur when JPG
images are used, not with BMP's. Thoughts?

I am having this problem too, except with BMPs - the
wallpaper goes to black after the screensaver (3D pipes -
nothing fancy) or when I log on...
Anyone?
