Dick,
Short version:
You need to adjust the options for the animation of the sound. They kind of
hid this in PPT 2002. First, bring up the custom animation task pane for the
slide where the sound starts. You should see an animation to start the
sound. Right click the animation, bring up the effect options. On one of the
tabs, you will see the setting you are looking for.
