narration and musice

Is it possible to have music in the presentation as well as a narration? I
want the music in the background and the narration for each slide.

For your narration:
Slide show > Record Narration

For the music:
"Play sounds across multiple slides (A WAV runs through it)"

thanks Sandy. I have the music already playing thorugh the whole
presentaion, but when I do the narration, it covers over the music.

Aha. Then you need to set your animation timing. These instructions are for
PPT 2002/2003:

Assuming you have individual audio clips on each slide for the narration:
Open your animation task pane (Slide Show > Custom animation).
Select the narration audio.
Set it to run "with previous"

Thanks! Did that, and what happens, is that the narration takes over, then
music restarts. this happens on each slide. if no narration, then the music
flows from beginning to end of presentation. It is "running with previous"
:-(

Michele,

It really depends upon the sound card and the driver you are using.
Assuming you are running a Windows OS made this century you can do as you
want, but you will need the WMD driver for your sound card. Check with your
sound card manufacture, almost all of them provide a WMD driver these days.
