Background Color in MS Word

How would I set the background color in MS Word?

So if you go to Format > Background this doesn't give you the seired effect?

FYI, future postings would be more appropriate at
 
I have mine set to light blue.

This affects everything not just Word.

Right click Desktop | Properties | Appearance tab |
Advanced button | Under Item: click the V to expand the menu |
Scroll down and select Window | For backgound select Color 1 |
Pick a color | You can preview before you hit the Apply button |
OK your way out

My goodness, don't pick red!! ;-)
