back up

I want to do a clean install of my xp. I need to back up my files. I bought a
maxtor one touch @100gb. I was able to back up all my documents on this but I
have trouble with the music files on itunes. I have over 7000 pieces of music
and they don't seem to load onto the maxtor. What is the best way and
procedure to either back them up on maxtor or on disk to avoid having to go
throught the burniing process with so many cds. thank you in advance.

If you have any songs you paid for I would certainly also back them up to CD
to have an extra copy - just in case!
