Back up

I have Widows XP Home Edition. I have just installed backup from the Windows
CD_ROM.
I have attempted to back up my files on a CD. I have an LG Compact Disk
rewritable burner on my computer.
When I reach the point in the back up and restore wizard that aske me where
I want to restore my data I indicate D drive. I get a message that tells me
D:\ is not accessible
Incorrect function
Can anyone help me fix this problem please?

You can burn files directly onto a CD.
Backup program?? There must be an instruction.

Hi,

The ntbackup program included in WinXP does not support direct writing to
CDR/CDRW media. You would have backup to hard drive, then copy the file to
CDR.
