I am getting what sounds like a loud cough when I click on a new link in
Internet Explorer. I am using Windows XP SP2. I have the Navigating sound
set to none, but I still get this sound. I even turned off all sounds to
see, if I could track it down, but it's still there. Does anyone know what
may be causing this problem? Sound card is Soundblaster Audigy 2.

The problem was a .wav file used with Popup Cop called suppressed.wav. When
Popup Cop suppresses an action, it activates the wave file. I deactivated
the .wav file.
