AW cannot ping localhost, but can ping 127.0.01

Hi,
I have some serious networking problem since last week,
and I don't know what caused it and I don't know how to
repair it.
Somehow I cannot ping localhost but I can ping 127.0.0.1
All other networking also got efected. like I cannot ftp,
telnet, I cannot even connect to internet.
I tried everything possible even restore win2000. but it
doesn't help.
Please any suggestion or any kind of help is welcome.

The networkcable is not connected. Check the cable and check the port of the
hub/router.
