When I start Control Panel, I get an error
stating: "VirusScan: AVSMCPA.dll The Specified Resource
Language ID Cannot Be Found in The Image File." Then
there are a number of paths shown indicating that "The
Specified Module Could Not be Found." Can't seem to
figure out what the problem is. Any recommendations?
Thank you.

Incidentally, have uninstalled and reinstalled VirusScan
per McAfee's instructions but that did not help at all.
The error appears to be a Windows error??

Google is your friend. Use it. The first hit after searching for

"AVSMCPA.dll"

is:

<http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318012>

which will probably solve your problem.

If not, then after further googling, post back in this thread. :-)

Thank you. I had searched Microsoft but that article
didn't come up. Probably because I was looking in the
2000 area and not the XP area. This article addresses XP
only but the solution worked in 2000 as well.
Incidentally, re-installing VirusScan was not helpful, as
the article suggested. I thank you for your assistance!
Googling was a better solution.

For some reason I won't even speculate about, Google gets better and
much faster results, including from within the MS databases, than does
whatever presumably homegrown process MS uses for indexing/searching.

Of course I'd never say that out loud anywhere it might be overheard.
;-)
