Sometimes I download video file that have an extension like avi.12 or some
other number in sequence. My windows media player will not play these and I
don't know what will open and play them. Any suggestions? Thanks for the
help.

I don't know what that extension means
but I wonder what would happen if you
rename the file and remove all characters
after .avi? filename.avi
