I will assume your using Windows Millinium... Because with XP there is no need to download.
Microsoft is extremly busy and sometimes it will take several tries to get the files you need.
Make sure Windows player is not running.
As an altinate method you might want to upgrade your Windows media player.
Hi, Codec downloads don't really differ per OS. The OP most likely was
trying to play content encoded with DivX or Xvid. A third party codec
Microsoft themselves do not support.
