AVI Files

My latest (9) series windows media player does not play
AVI files. Why? It is checked in format,etc. and I had
no trouble wirh '98. upgrade to XP killed AVI
capability . Advice?
 
An uncompressed AVI file will play fine in ANY version of
WindowsMediaPlayer. A compressed AVI file needs the codecs with which it
was compressed to be installed on the PC in question for it to play.

You might want to try DiVx codecs at www.divx.com

support" (free download) gonna drive me nuts??????/
