AVG won't download updates

I have the free AVG anti-virus 6.0 which has always worked OK, but now it
won't download updates. It says:

"An automatic connection to the Internet could not be
established. Please manually establish a connection to
download your Update files (this can typically be done by
launching your Internet browser)."

I've tried several times and it won't work. What now?
 
Sorry. My fault. It was blocked by my firewall, an oversight...
