Grisoft AVG Update-Problem

P

Patrice Brockhaus

Hi!

I´m using Grisoft AVG free-edition built 573. Unfortunately I can use
the build in update funktion only as admin. When I try to update as
user I get the message:

"An automatic connection to the internet could not be established.
Please manualy establish a connection to download your update-files
(this can typicaly be done by launching your internet-browser)."

Anyone knows this problem and it's solution?

Bye,
Patrice

Ensure you are connected to the internet then carry out the update,
sometimes when the web site is busy you get this message just try again
later.

I have this problem since I installed the program at the end of dec.
It used to work fine with older versions. I already downloaded a new
version of AVG6 and reinstalled.
Only yesterday I tryed to update as admin and it worked instantly.
Trying again as user just afterwards I got the same old error message.
And yes: I am online while updating and IE is in online-mode.

Greets,
Patrice

The above problem usually arises when everyone tries to update at once and
the server can't cope.
Just try again later.

Ray.

If you need to update right away, try here. Then you don't have to rely on
the program updater. I go here for updates when the program updater gets
bodgy.
