This is not at all surprising. Most AV progs these days will disable the
security feature and monitoring provided by Windows XP as part of their
installation procedure. Having said that be very careful it does not mean
something more sinister. Mine (which is NAV) is no exception!! I`ve learned
to live with it but it can usually be reinstated thru the Options menu
provided from within the application you have installed. My personal
experiences would seem to observe they are constantly viing with pride of
place and the settings seem to default with each reboot. Bottom line is;
which do you trust and feel most comfortable with? MS security Centre OR your
newly acquired and installed third party software?
