AVG 7 Free Edition Now Available

No problems at all updating reference files since I installed it a few
days ago.

They almost always have problems when a new release (or publicized virus
attack) comes out. It lasts a day, two at best. Then it is not a
problem. For free? It's worth it. Just wait a day or two.

Precisely. I was using AVG before it was freeware (yup, I paid for
something and will continue to do so as long as it does it's thing. I'm
not judging this particular book by it's GUI, I don't see any harm in
commenting on it's appearance.

Amazing....

We are given a totally free program, that for me as well as the
numerous other friends I insist use it, has worked flawlessly
since inception, and people are complaining about its looks.

To me, very strange.

I share your surprise. By the way, considering the interface, AVG
looks still much clearer than Avast. Apart from this, both are good
antivirus.
