avery labels are not formatting correctly in MS Word 2003

I've just had a new PC at work running XP professional and using MS Office
Professional 2003 SP1. We've tried to mail merge some avery labels and while
everything works ok up to final print, clearly the set up of labels in Word
is incorrect. Can anyone help?

I would not be sure that it is the setup of the labels in Word that is
incorrect.

What happens at the final print?

If you are executing the merge directly ot the printer, try printing on
plain paper. If that gives the correct label spacing, then it is a problem
of the inability of the printer to properly handle the label stock - a
common problem with ink jet printers.
