Avery Labels have disappeared from my MS Word - Help

Sometime between Dec. 1 and Jan 3, 2008, the Avery labels have disappeared
from my MS Word. I have used labels numerous times and never a problem. Now
when I go into "labels and envelopes" and click on the labels, names (not
Avery) show up that I have never heard of. Obviously there was an update
that fouled this up and I am wondering how to retrieve it.

It seems unlilkely that they have been removed - and certainly not by any
updates. My guess is that you are looking in the wrong place. From the
envelope/labels > labels dialog. Click Options. In the label products Window
you should have a whole raft of choices, including Avery A4 and A5 and Avery
standard. I can think of no mechanism by which the standard choices could be
removed. However if they really are missing, I would suggest renaming the
Word data key in the registry (to OldData) with Word closed - see how to
locate it at http://www.gmayor.com/my_toolbars_are_missing.htm . Word will
recreate the key. If that doesn't fix it, close Word, delete the newly
created Data key and rename the OldData key back to Data. Then repair Word
from the original installation disc.
