My new installation works fine except for one thing. My AVERTV card won't
work. It would appear I need a new set of drivers but so far I've had no
luck in finding them.

Anyone have suggestions or a link?

Thanks

PS

On other thing I've noticed, Windows no longer does a complete ower down. I
have to shut power of manually after the safe to shut down screen appears. A
setting for this?

Thanks again.

D/L and installed. Thanks.

However still won't run. I get the error message:

The procedure entry point SUnMapLS_EBP_16 could not be located in the
dynamic link library KERNELL32.dll.

It also mentions that my VGA monitor (Nec Multisync C400) asks for 16bit Hi
color which I used to have. I can't find that setting anymore. It is
preseently running 16-color mode. Why would that not be available anymore?

The fun continues. I also can't get the printer to work. It's a HP Deskjet
340

Seems like you're having all sorts of difficuties. The procedure
entry point error looks like you're not using or have installed the
correct DLL files. Make sure you've downloaded the correct drivers
for the card. Try uninstalling the card and removing the drivers
altogether. (do this from safe mode only!) Reboot, let the card be
detected again and install the drivers you downloaded once more.

The color depth problem has to do with the drivers for your video card
or the memory on the card is not sufficient. By the way, the monitor
is not asking for anything... it's the program you're trying to run
that's requesting the HI color mode.

As for the Deskjet 340, that's an old unit which might not be
completely compatible with XP. You can search the HP site for updated
drivers. Might be time for a new printer.

I hardly call 16 colors "working fine" Maybe you should give your computer
to someone who knows how to use it, a 4 year old perhaps.

No need to be rude. It does the job. Sorry I asked.

Have a rotten 2005.

Shall try. Thanks.

Printer problem is solved. XP was loading for color print cartridge. I
should have twigged on that. The cartridge light kept blinking.
